Digital Forensics

Digital forensics and incident response (DFIR) is the work of figuring out how a breach happened, what was taken, and how to get the attacker out. Investigators preserve evidence from disks, memory and logs so the findings hold up with insurers, regulators and courts. Most businesses hire it after an incident, often through their cyber insurance.
